RECIPE: Greek Tzatziki

Ingredients

  • 500g Greek Yoghurt
  • 1/2 of a cucumber | peeled, de-seeded, finely shred and squeezed
  • 2 garlic cloves | grated
  • 1 tsp of Maison Gabrielle’s Dried Mint
  • 1 tsp of Maison Gabrielle’s Dill
  • Juice of 1/2 of a Lemon
  • Maison Gabrielle’s Pink Himalayan Salt or Fleur de Sel (to taste)

Directions

  1. Place the yogurt in a bowl
  2. Add the Lemon Juice and stir through
  3. Before adding shredded the cucumbers them in cheese cloth or a thin paper towel and squeeze out as much juice as you can in another bowl.
  4. Then add the squeezed cucumbers and the grated garlic to the yogurt, mix thoroughly
  5. Finally, add Maison Gabrielle‘s dried mint and dill and mix thoroughly
  6. Add salt to taste
  7. Chill in the refrigerator till cold.
  8. When its ready to eat, spoon it into a decorative bowl, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with freshly cracked pepper and garnish with toasted pita wedges.
